A Secret Garden is by far the most unbelievably perfect, stunning, and unique wedding venue in the KC metro - possibly the world! Everything - the decor, catering, bar, music, dances, organization, time management, scheduling, creativity, the entire experience from the moment I walked in door to the bridal suite, to the late night ending - I mean EVERYTHING was accounted for and thought of with me, my husband, and our friends and family in mind. I am so beyond grateful that I found this beautiful place tucked away (hence A “SECRET” Garden) in my hometown of Independence. Some absolute standouts I need to mention here - RUSS! The most amazing, kind, generous, creative, genius, artistic, sweetest soul on earth. Russ is the owner of A Secret Garden and there is nothing he can’t do. His extensive experience with weddings and event planning will leave you so relaxed and at ease - truly a master at what he does and everything is perfectly calculated so that you don’t have to do the work and truly just ENJOY your day. Russ and the team at A Secret Garden made my wedding day a DREAM!! The day of was such a smooth stress free event because Russ and Glenice. Russ went above and beyond creating our dream fantasy wedding. The passion and creativity Russ exudes is so inspiring. He is such a joy to work with!! So many sentimental details were placed within the decor. It was a day of non stop surprises (good ones, lol). All of the photos attached were taken by Russ, who sent me a TON of pictures the day after the wedding. I cannot recommend A Secret Garden enough!!! Thank yall for creating a night we will cherish for the rest of our lives 💕💕

Where to even begin! There are so many wonderful things to say about this venue and Russ, the owner- the creative genius - the heart and soul of A Secret Garden. My husband and I had our dream wedding here on 3/21/26 and from day one of meeting Russ and touring the venue, we knew this was going to be beyond anything we could have imagined for our special day. There were so many factors that made this day more than I could have ever imagined, besides how beautiful the venue is with all the artistic touches created by Russ - from paintings, to sculptures, to a 25 foot waterfall, to the flowers and trees and chandeliers hanging in the garden and the palm room. Every detail is placed with so much thought and love to create a space that anyone having an event here will never forget. Russ truly puts his whole heart into creating a unique and one of a kind wedding. We toured a few other venues and expressed to them certain timeline requirements we had that were non-traditional which we were either told “not possible” or they would do their best to make them happen but when we expressed these requirements to Russ and why we wanted them, he assured us he would make it happen without fail!

I wish I could give more than 5 ⭐️ Russ and his team were absolutely incredible. You give him a few ideas and he creates one of the most stunning venues you’ve ever laid eyes on. Let alone his team keeping the flow of the day so enjoyable and incredibly entertaining. The moment you walk in, you become family. Russ will alway hold such a special place in our hearts and now part of our family story. We love you guys 🤍

A Secret Garden gave us more than a wedding, it gave us a moment in time Some people help plan weddings. Others help create memories that live in your heart forever. Russ is the latter. From the very beginning, Russ saw us. Not just as clients, but as a couple with a story, a family, and a moment in time that mattered deeply. He added countless personal touches. Quiet, thoughtful details woven throughout the day, that made our wedding feel intimate, intentional, and unmistakably ours. What he created was not just beautiful… it was a fairytale. We were married on November 22nd, during a season that was both joyful and fragile. My father was very ill, and time felt precious. Russ, with compassion and grace, made sure my dad could be there, TRULY there, in the final weeks of his life. Shortly after our wedding, my father entered hospice and passed away on December 12th. Because of Russ, my dad witnessed one of the most important days of my life. That gift is beyond words. It is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life. On our wedding day, everything unfolded effortlessly. I never felt rushed, stressed, or distracted. I was able to be present, fully present, because
